Driver In Fatal Baltimore Hit-Run Tracked Down Nearly A Year After Crash, Police Say

Nearly a year after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Baltimore, police say that they've arrested the suspected driver.

Derek Glenn, 49, has been arrested and charged in connection to the fatal crash that took the life of 42-year-old Heidi Marie Rose in March 2023, according to authorities on Monday morning.

According to a spokesperson from the Baltimore Police Department, investigators learned that Glenn fatally struck Rose on March 18, 2023, as she crossed the street in the 1600 bock of West North Avenue. 

It is alleged that Glenn then fled the area and never notified the agency.

The Baltimore resident was arrested in the 2800 block of Lawina Road on Saturday, taken to the department's Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with negligent manslaughter.

No information about his next court appearance was announced.
